FAQ's

What is Akas Virtual MSP focus?

We are a MSP focusing on small business, crown corporations and agencies, and non-profit organizations in Nova Scotia.

Do you service APPLE / MAC computers?

No. MS Windows based systems are our specialty. Even more specifically, we are specialists in Dell computers but we are happy to assist you with other brands.

Do you service IPod's and cell phones?

No. We are specialized in laptops and desktops. However, we can setup new tablets for users and unlock cell phones (Android and Blackberry).

Do you guarantee your service?

We guarantee our services for 15 days (if systems are used in a reasonable way, with fully functional anti-malware software and firewall installed).

Do you repair computers under warranty?

You should consider to take the computer to the store where you purchased it or send it to the manufacturer first as we will charge our service. If you require non-hardware issue service such as virus cleaning or other services not covered by warranty we will be happy to assist you.

Do you offer On-site service?

Yes for business users. Please contact as at akas@AKASVIRTUAL.COM for quote and to arrange the visit.

What tasks must be completed prior to installation or repair?

Please back up all personal data files (My Documents folder for example) prior to service being performed. AKAS Virtual is not responsible for lost data. Data transfer service is available for an additional fee.

Do you offer Wireless Network Installation Services?

Yes. It’s under our business on-site services.

Is there anything I need to prepare for service?

For service of a desktop PC, just bring your system discs with key codes that came with the computer and tower. If you're bringing in a laptop for service - AC power adapter and the system discs. For some services, we will need Administrator and Bios passwords. If you require custom software installation, please bring original CD’s with key codes.

Can we just bring computer maintenance service without an appointment?

Walks-in are welcome from 10am to 4pm (Please check if we are available for service by calling 902-701-8855).

This agreement represents the complete agreement and understanding between AKAS Virtual (AKAS) and the Customer and supersedes any other written or oral agreement. Upon notice published on-line, AKAS may modify these terms and conditions, amplify them, and/or modify the prices, as well as discontinue or change services offered.

1. AKAS makes no warranties of any kind, whether expressed or implied, for the service it is providing. You agree that your use of our Services is solely at your own risk. You agree that such Service(s) is provided on an "as is" basis.

2. AKAS will not be responsible for damages the customer suffers. This includes loss of data, non-deliveries, or loss resulting from business activities disruption.

3. We make no warranty that the Services will meet your requirements. However we guarantee our services for 15 days.

4. Customer is responsible for data backup. Customer understands that formatting or recovering or manipulating hard drive and other similar media can permanently erase all data.

5. AKAS Virtual Service will complete service as quickly as possible.
